HOW TO MAKE CRISPY FRIED FISH WITH SPICES?
This fish fry dish is bursting with flavor and wonderful spices. It’s a quick and easy fried fish dish that takes just a few minutes to prepare.
For a wonderful fried fish, selecting the correct fish to fry is critical. Deep-frying fish such as haddock, tilapia, cod, halibut, and bass are ideal. Salmon and tuna are high in fat and should not be used in a fried fish dish. In this dish, I used Tilapia, and it was delicious!!
This spicy fried fish is traditionally served as a side dish with rice or as an appetizer with lemon wedges. The finest sides that pair with fried fish are grilled or boiled vegetables, garden salads, and soups. My favorite dipping sauce for fried fish is tartar sauce.
Spices make an Indian-style fish fry more tasty and appetizing. Spices not only add taste to the fish, but they also have natural antibacterial characteristics that aid in the battle against disease-causing germs in meats and vegetables. It aids in flavoring meat and vegetables without adding calories. All seafood recipes in Indian cuisine incorporate spices like turmeric, which serve to lessen the smelly smell of the fish while also adding taste and scent to the meals.
YOU’LL NEED THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS FOR THIS SPICY FRIED FISH:
Two Haddock fillets, or any fish of your choice.
1 small spoon.Of cumin powder.
To season; Salt and ground Pepper.
1/2 small spoon.Of smoked paprika.
1/2 small spoon.Of red pepper powder.
FOR THE DOUGH, I USED:
250 ml.Of cold soda water or cold beer.
1 Cup.Of self-raising flour.
2 large spoons.Of corn flour.
1 small spoon.Of turmeric powder.
Salt, to season.
Sunflower oil for frying.
Start by soaking the fish in spices to prepare it. While making the mix, cover and put aside for later.
In a medium mixing bowl, you need to combine the dry ingredients and add the salt mixing well.
By adding the liquid, create a hole in the center. Using a hand whisk or a fork, combine the ingredients to make a thick paste.
Then, allow 5 minutes for the mixture to settle while the oil is heated for frying.
Once the oil is sufficiently heated, you may begin frying. At 190 degrees Celsius, the oil must be very hot.
After that, you need to dip the marinated fish pieces in the mixture piece by piece until uniformly coated, then fry for 3-4 minutes, or until crispy and brown.
Using paper to transfer it to a plate. Rep with the remaining fish pieces; if frying a large quantity of fish, I suggest warming the oil between batches.
And finally, you can choose between Chucky chips, potato wedges, or salad as a side dish. And, drizzle with chili sauce.
